Diamond Orthopedic’s faceted threadform and impressive company story turned heads at the 15th Annual Musculoskeletal New Ventures Conference held Oct. 17-18 in Memphis, TN.
Diamond Orthopedic’s patented faceted bone screws represent the first significant advance in medical screw technology in decades for the nearly $50 billion orthopedic market. The Company had a standout presentation at the conference which featured 22 companies showcasing their product offerings to private equity participants, industry leaders, and technologists in the musculoskeletal industry.
Diamond Orthopedic CEO, Roy Bivens, presented several pillars of strength for the Company, which included its patented technology and license agreement to manufacture, market, and sell over 2,500 FDA-cleared cortical, cancellous, headless compression, and external fixation screws.
Bivens also discussed the Company’s strong foundation for an immediate sales launch along with concrete milestones Diamond has targeted to achieve in advance of a potential series A financing.
Diamond’s faceted threadform technology impressed attendees with key advantages over current helical screw fixation products. These advantages include lower torque required to insert a faceted screw, and increased bone penetration ability that lowers the potential risk of micro-fractures, reduces compressive stress, and lessens the potential of injuring surrounding bone.
